Whew... where to begin.
I put this together in roughly two days. It's the last friday of work before Christmas, and all through the office people are packing up to go to our staff pissup... and here I am submitting a bloody calendar to a website!

I could have played with this for hours more, but alas - no time.

The concept was a simple one: I wanted to create a cover that wasn't artistic in itself - that wouldn't seek to define the style of the artworks in the calendar - but more one that defined the motivation behind the calendar.
This is OUR community, and hense should be a reflection of US.

The design was simple: I took pieces from the site, the logo, the avatars, the colours - things we all know and recognise - and assembled them in a way that screams COMMUNITY. Everything was redrawn into vectorart and assembled in illustrator - then exported and .psded for that all important eyecandy.

I hope it rates

Yours and TJvision's submisions ROCKS! but i think yours evoque more the feeling of community, the feeling that there are loots of people gattering art togheter, that so many people here is faceless

, not realy our face here is the art we post.

Nice idea and concept.
My only crit would be the GFX grey sign that i think is left out from all the attention.
Great work on the composition and overall.

I love it. If it was up to me you'd win..the others are nice too, but yours has the "spirit of the job", it is great in what it is supposed to be.

Sweet, that's a nice visualization of the place. Reminds me a bit of a school group photo. There's some fanned-out streaks akin to a starburst in the background, but they're only on the lower left, not anywhere else; I'm a bit puzzled about what those are doing. The perspective of the slanted G could have been emphasized by rearranging how the people are standing around it. I see the transparency of the letters... those are a nice touch, very subtle.

What else can be a better than this, i think this is just perfect ,
agree that G should have been opague, great work though.
Gives me a feeling of being one of so many talented artists
