Description

It's been awhile since I've done some chunky typo... So this was a bit of therapy for me :) Back to my original style.

Lots of nice cliches went into this piece:
The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
You can't see what's around the corner.
There's no going back.

Initial idea was to set the type, then ps it into a photo I had of a similar street corner - but the chunky black and white looked so posterart (so, well, me :p), and had the dirty urban feel even without the dirty urban picture - I couldn't resist publishing like this :)

Very intriguing image. It definitely draws the viewer into it... sneaky like the devil. Cool stuff. (thumbup)

Wow, that's pretty slick. I like it how it is. The diagonals work really well in making an interesting and dynamic composition. I think PSing it into a photo might ruin the effect, as the simplicity of it is, imo, it's strongest point. Great work!

Cheers cjd! Byonder - actually i abandoned that idea quite early, when i started messing with the perspective, I agree with you, the simplicity makes the piece. Just wish I could draw a proper devil :p

ahh.. this is fresh. I must admt I rarely see type used this creatively or in such a neat perspective. I think the simplicity here works.. having a real street corner might make the figures seem a bit out of place.

Very neat design. But I think the red hell sign doesn't stick out enough for something in theforeground. Maybe a 1 pixel white border around it would help bring it forward?

that's good, I think that christhatguy is right about the red sign :)

I love the idea. but incorporating it into a photograph will lose it's punch. Could be my crappy monitor but I'm seeing some pixilization going on between the letters on the word "consequence", if no one else sees it dont worry, this monitor is prehistoric. It's a really 70's feel graphically though still very now. Like very much the 3 'd feel and the perspective. Good work! Nice thing about it is it's so clean and crisp and the concept you could sell to a variety of media.
